Unboxing

The first step is to open up the box. Inside your blu starter kit, you will find:

• 1x blu pack, which holds 5 cartridges & charges your batteries on the go!
• 2x blu batteries
• 1x atomizer
• 1x spare atomizer
• 1x wall charger
• 1x USB charger and
• 1x carton of cartridges in the flavor & strength of your choice

Set Up/Initial Use

• For optimal performance, it is recommended that you fully charge the batteries and blu pack before using blu.
• You will notice that one of the batteries and the atomizer are pre-assembled along with an empty cartridge. Simply replace the empty cartridge with a full one by placing it firmly onto the atomizer. To make sure the cartridge is secure, twist it slightly.
• There is no on or off switch. As you press blu to your lips and inhale, the blue LED light at the tip glows like a real cigarette to let you know its working.

Charging Pack

• Both the pack and the batteries can be charged using a standard wall outlet, or computer with USB port.
• To charge the pack using a wall outlet, simply plug the wall charger into the outlet and connect the opposite end to the bottom of the pack. When the blue light at the end of the cord is on, the pack is charging. When the light turns off, your pack is fully charged.
• To charge the pack using the enclosed USB charger, unplug the USB cord from the wall charger and connect one end of the cable to the pack and the other to the USB port. When the blue light at the end of the cord is on, the pack is charging. When the light turns off, your pack is fully charged.

Blu Pack as Battery Charger

The unique thing about the blu pack is that it doubles as a battery charger.
• Second from the right, inside each pack, is a battery receptor.
• Screw the battery into the receptor until it is secure. The blue LED light on your battery will flash and the blue light on the side of the pack will light up. When the light is on it means the battery is charging. When the light turns off, the battery is completely charged.
• Simply unscrew the battery from the receptor and leave it in the same slot in the pack. If the battery is left screwed into the receptor after charging it will drain the charge from the battery.

Charging Batteries

• To charge the batteries using the wall outlet, place the battery into the USB charger.
• Connect the male end of the charger to the female end of the cordless wall adapter and plug it into the nearest outlet. A red charger light indicates the battery is charging. The light turns blue when the battery has been fully charged and can be removed from the charger.
• To charge the batteries using your computer, simply screw the battery into the USB charger, and then plug the charger into any available USB port. The blue LED light at the end of the battery will flash and the USB charger light will turn red letting you know it is charging. When the charger light turns blue, the battery is fully charged.
• Charging your blu pack and batteries to capacity takes approximately 1-2 hours.

Replacing Batteries

Each battery should provide approximately two cartridges worth of full-flavored enjoyment between charges while your blu pack will refresh your batteries up to 6 times before requiring a recharge.

• When the battery is depleted, the blue LED at the end of the battery will blink 30 times intermittently.
• To replace the empty battery, secure the cartridge in one hand and unscrew the battery from the atomizer.
• Grab the fresh battery from your blu pack and reattach it to the atomizer. When you’re finished, recharge the empty battery by screwing it back into the receptor.
• Remember to unscrew a newly charged battery from the receptor when the light goes out.

Note: During use, the LED light will flash 10 times to warn you that you are overusing your blu and you should take a break. This does not affect performance and does not mean you should recharge.

Replacing Cartridge

On average, each individual cartridge supplies enough nicotine and premium flavoring to accommodate approximately 80 puffs. When the cartridge no longer produces vapor, you’ll know it’s time for a replacement.

• To replace the cartridge, hold the battery with one hand and pull off the empty one.
• Check the atomizer for any foil residue and gently brush it aside using your fingers.
• Firmly apply a full cartridge to the atomizer, twist it slightly to make sure it is secure.

Anyone who smokes knows how smokers have slowly but surely been “squeezed” out.

It all started with the ban on smoking, except for trans-oceanic flights. Then eventually even that was taken away from smokers. As a smoker, I can’t say that I disagree with the airplane rules against smoking. Smoking an electronic cigarette involves a slightly different technique, similar to that of pipe smoking. Once the smoker takes a drag, nicotine is released directly into a mist and the sensation of it hitting the lungs is virtually identical to it’s tobacco based counterpart. Nicotine, on average, reaches the lungs within five to ten seconds.

Afterward, smokers of the electronic cigarette typically don’t complain of the soreness that typically accompanies smoking a regular cigarette, although some do experience a slight dryness from the propylene glycol; but this quickly passes.

Some manufacturers of the electronic cigarette have striven to mimic traditional brands of regular tobacco based cigarettes. The NJOY electronic cigarette, for example, comes in four strengths, zero (no nicotine) through strong (Marlboro) as well as flavored brands including menthol, apple or strawberry.

Another big difference between tobacco and electronic cigarettes is price. To get started, a starter kit is priced at about $110. A replacement (rechargeable) battery runs about $15, and the nicotine cartridges cost $25 for a set of five. Each set is equivalent to about two packs of cigarettes. Dollar for dollar, the electronic cigarette is actually cheaper than their unhealthy counterparts over time.

Most users polled the electronic cigarette is as close to the real things by as much as 90-95%. The vapor actually looks like smoke but is made up of water and other ingredients generally regarded as safe. The cartridges contain no tobacco nor do they produce tobacco smoke or smoke of any kind.

Another pleasant difference between electronic cigarettes and tobacco cigarettes is the incredible strength of the smell of stale tobacco given off by smokers. The smell permeates clothes, cars, carpets and drapes. This vanishes completely with electronic cigarettes, since there is no actual fire or burning tobacco. The downside in all of this, as if there were any, is the electronic cigarette will more than likely ruin the smoker’s desire to return to typical tobacco based products. After using the smokeless electronic cigarette, taste buds regenerate. After a few months, if an electronic smoker picks up a regular cigarette it will more than likely taste vile.

An added benefit is the ability for the electronic smoker to smoke in virtually any place or environment. Pubs, Clubs, restaurants, theaters and airplanes, places which have banned cigarette smoke for decades are completely legal for electronic smokers since the e-cigarette produces no illegal by-products, and therefore no secondhand smoke.
